first falcons take flight

Today represents a momentous occasion for Novint. The very first Falcons begin shipping in our Limited Edition Bundle. It is gratifying bringing a first-of-a-kind product like this to market.

Since its inception, Novint’s objective has been to bring affordable high-fidelity 3D touch to consumer computing. The successful launch of the Falcon achieves this goal thanks to the incredible efforts of our internal team, great partners, investors, and countless other supporters who have assisted us along the way.

The Falcon controller and our touch-enabled games are, we believe, truly unlike anything available in gaming. This August, we plan to launch a major national tour to let people experience the difference first hand. We’re also updating our website to include more product information, video and community, so that you can keep up to date on Falcon news, events and announcements.

Thank you for your continued interest in Novint. If you’re one of the lucky people who preordered the Limited Edition Bundle for shipment beginning June 18th, congratulations, your product is on its way. If you haven’t ordered yours yet, we’re extending our special $189 pricing and free standard shipping for a limited time. As always, we welcome your comments.

An email with tracking details will be sent to each customer upon shipping of their order.

Congrats on achieving this major milestone!

I still have not received my email with the tracking #. I called support and they said mine should be shipped out today 06/18 via DHL and could take 4 to 5 days. I hope it arrives this week. This could be the longest 4 days of my life! I can't wait!!!

Well done on the release

Does the novint falcon power supply work internationally like in the united kingdom?

or would i have to plug the US power cable into a wall adapter. as my friend in the USA is going to buy and send me one?

Also i just went to the redesigned novint falcon website and when you click 'buy now' it gives a description of what's included in the box, there is no mention of the offer where you get to download a free full game up to the cost of 20 dollars, has this been taken off the deal or have you forgotten to mention this in the description?

Any chance to allow shipping to overseas yet?

What are the plans for the marketing campaign now that you have started shipping?

Besides games, just a area were a Falcon user could just feel a whole range of feelings would probably be interesting enough in these early days of haptics. Just to "nutz" around and experiment with the new interface. eom

Blake,

Marty here, in Warwick, NY

Despite the NOVINT claim that the Falcons are coming via DHL, Quantum View says mine is in transit via UPS. UPS has been pretty good to me, so that is actually welcome news for me.
Good luck

how long has Novint been on the stock market?

I also have not received an email confirming my order has shipped. I tried contacting customer service today (6/19) but was put into voicemail. I really expected to at least have notice that the product shipped yesterday. 5 days seems a little long in terms of shipping time. Has there been a delay of some kind?

re: use of the power supply in the UK

The power supply is labeled for US use only, and we have certified it for US use only. However, if you use a simple plug adaptor (NOT a transformer) it should work fine in the UK.

re: free game in the bundle

We did take the free download out of the bundle. It was a special incentive for customers who would order before launch. Most of our games are inexpensive, and a great value for the money. We also give free games for beta testing as part of our Falcon First Club, and the preorders going out on the 23rd will include memberships to the Falcon First Club as well.

re: shipping confirmations

Please be patient with the shipping confirmations - they should arrive shortly. Also, if you call our customer service line and reach voicemail instead of a person, please leave a message. We will get back with you soon.

Any news about using the Falcon with the the standard game consoles???

Still haven't gotten any shipping confirmation on mine. Not a good way to launch a product, frustrating customers who ordered your product months in advance. It isn't that hard to mail some boxes; this is why they have temp agencies.

re: Falcon on game consoles

We anticipate that the Falcon will be used on various consoles, but we have not made any announcements regarding timing.

I received my confirmation shipping email as well. "Marty", it turns out mine was shipped UPS as well. I don't know why they told me DHL.

re: UPS shipping

We apologize if some of you were told DHL would be the carrier for your Falcon shipment - this was an error. The carrier is, as some pointed out, UPS.
