Hello everyone! Today is Falcon Friday! Did you know that this is our 24th Falcon Friday? That's a lot of games and a lot of Falcon Festivities! This week's game is Chicken Hunter: Retro.

Novint’s kickin’ it old school with Chicken Hunter: Retro. In this latest installation of the Chicken Hunter series of games, you’ll have an even bigger lineup of chickens to shoot down during your allotted time. But stay sharp fearless hunter! In addition to hunting as many chickens as you can, you can rack up additional points by shooting certain objects surrounding you. Chicken Hunter: Retro promises to be just as addictive as the other Chicken Hunting games, where the name of the game is: “Stayin’ Alive.”

Chicken Hunter: Retro is a steal at $9.95 and as always, don't forget to check out the Message Board because you never know when Tom will post a link for a free download. Happy Falcon Gaming!

It's been a very busy week at the Novint office! Today is Falcon Friday! This week's game is Feelin' It: Arcade Roller.

You’ve never played the arcade classic like this before! Based on one of the first and most popular arcade skill games of all time, Feelin' It: ArcadeRoller is played by rolling a series of balls up the ramp and into the scoring circles for points. Sound easy? Not so fast - we've created dozens of challenging and unique levels that require you to develop real muscle memory and throwing aim with your Novint Falcon. You will even feel the weight and momentum of the ball as you give it a toss! Play it safe by going for the easier slots, or test your skill and accuracy by targeting the more challenging slots. Whichever strategy you choose, you’ll need to develop an actual throwing rhythm when you use the Novint Falcon, just like the real-life game. The only way it could get any more realistic is if a line of tickets came out at the end!

You'll be hooked after a couple of rounds with this game. The game retails for $9.95, but don't forget to check the Message Boards. Tom will be posting a like for free downloads. Happy Falcon Gaming!

UPDATE: We've had a minor delay and will be releasing our Falcon Friday game Friday afternoon or evening this week instead of our typical midnight release. Thank you for understanding!

Hey everyone! Novint's had a really busy week! Today's Falcon Friday! This week's game is F.E.A.R. Combat, which as you might know, is the multi-player version of F.E.A.R.

You aren't a soldier. You are a weapon. A paramilitary force infiltrates a multibillion dollar aerospace compound taking hostages, but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in its best special operations teams, only to have them obliterated. Live footage of the massacre is cut short by an unexpected wave of destruction that leaves military leaders stunned and in disbelief. This is a mod (modification) to the critically acclaimed, First Person Shooter game, F.E.A.R., and must be run in tandem with a fully purchased version of the game.

Like our other mods, this is a free download. Enjoy!

Also, don't forget to order your Pistol Grips! If you reserved a Pistol Grip on our Web site you should have received an email this week. The sales will be opened to the public on Wednesday, so hurry!

Hello everyone! It's Falcon Friday. Today's game is one that I've seen several requests for on the Novint Message Board - CRE8.

CRE8 is a 3D design and molding program that allows you to use your sense of touch to intuitively create and customize any 3D object imaginable. You will have access to a dimensional workspace and when you move the Novint Falcon handle, a 3D stylus tip will appear that will help you mold your creation. Use the various buttons of the Falcon grip to manipulate the view and angle of your creation – allowing you to truly create a 3 Dimensional object intuitively. Simply select the basic shape of an object you would like to create and then the creativity begins! You’ll be able to select from tools such as the eyedropper, paint, group, ungroup, snap, color, and stiffness. They sky is the limit as you let your creativity flow!

The best part of this game is that it's free for Falcon users! So download a copy and enjoy!

Game Preview: Ascension Reborn

Today we're going to take a closer look at Novint's upcoming title, Ascension Reborn. This game is a personal favorite of Novint's CEO, Tom Anderson. Tom has taken a VERY active role in the testing and tuning of this game.

Originally released under the title Advent Rising, this stunning action/adventure game received Gamepro’s Editor’s Choice Award and is now even more powerful for Falcon players. Called “innovative as hell, and the most emotive title to hit any platform in ages," this AAA, third-person sci-fi adventure lets you play the role of a pilot on a historic mission to make first contact with an alien race.

The game features a sweeping storyline created by Hugo and Nebula award-winning author Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game). While playing Ascension Reborn, you'll destroy enemies using a combination of super-human psychic powers, an arsenal of awesome weapons, and a vast array of combat-ready vehicles. Using the Novint Falcon, you'll actually feel the sensation of piloting alien assault vehicles, hover-tanks, and agile aircraft. You'll be able to feel weight and recoil when wielding and firing weapons like pistols, blasters, assault rifles, and rocket launchers, as well as alien-developed weapons like the microwave gun and the black-hole rifle. You'll even feel your own extraordinary powers as you fire telekinetic blasts at enemies, levitate objects in the environment, and raise energy shields against attacks.

Game features include 11 different guns with dual-wield capabilities, six super powers, a slow motion dodge jump, an innovative targeting system, a musical score that features a 70-piece Hollywood orchestra, and a variety of gameplay experiences ranging from zero gravity combat to team warfare and beyond.

The game will sell for $29.95. Have you tried the game? Are you excited to try this one out? Let us know below!

Check It Out: Falcon User's Video

A Novint Falcon user has created a pretty cool video of the Falcon while playing Half-Life 2. You can see the recoil of the weapon. If you haven't had a chance to try out the Falcon, this is a great video to demonstrate the recoil and feedback of the controller.

A special thanks to YouTube user, sonikkuffffff for posting! Enjoy!

Try Not To Drool

When these pictures crossed my Inbox I knew that I HAD to post them! Behold: Novint's Pistol Grips ready to find their new homes! For the sake of your computer, try not to drool.

This is a picture of our hard working, devoted team in San Diego.

Left to Right (Standing): Steve Stanley, Paula Merkley, David Finke. Seated: Marci Emerson. Behind the camera: the man, the myth, the legend, Walt Aviles.

Have you reserved your Pistol Grip yet?

Check It Out: Wired's Review of the Falcon and Pistol Grip

A few weeks ago Novint's CEO, Tom, and I stopped by Wired's office to give a few editors a sneak peak of the Black Falcon and Pistol Grip. We had a great time meeting the folks over there and they've posted a great review of the Falcon.

Here's my favorite quote:

"Forget fragging as you know it. With the pistol grip coming dangerously close to flying out of your hands after a few quick bursts with a submachine gun, you may wonder how you got along without this level of feedback in the first place. Every weapon takes on new life, from the meager jostling of the standard pistol, to the forceful thunder of a rocket launcher's blast."

The Pride of Albuquerque

We told you a few weeks ago about the Mayor of Albuquerque's visit to Novint's office. Bill Anderson, Novint's Director of Games, had an interview with the Mayor and talked about all of the exciting developments at Novint. Check out his interview by scrolling down to the August 16th episode.

It's Falcon Friday but we're doing things a little differently this time. This week's game is a bit of a surprise to everyone. We really wanted to surprise everyone so we didn't mention that we were working on this mod.

Today we're launching our mod for Vivendi Games’ first-person shooter game, F.E.A.R.™ – First Encounter Assault Recon.

As with our other mods, this must be used in tandem with a fully purchased version of the game. The mod is free so check it out and let us know what you think! Have a great weekend!

F.E.A.R. is a trademark of Vivendi Games, Inc.

Novint in the News!

Hello everyone! Things have been pretty hectic in the Land of Novint. The media has been VERY interested in the Falcon. Check it out!

<-- Novint is featured in the current issue of Consumers Digest. The Falcon is featured as a New Technology in the front of the magazine. It’s a great feature and mentions our deals with EA and Valve.

<-- Novint and Tom are featured in the August issue of License Magazine. They mention Novint's new licensing model that you've probably heard Tom speak about. We're really proud of our innovative licensing model and it's exciting to see a publicaiton take notice of it.

<-- The Falcon is featured in the current issue of Life & Style. We recently participated in a Celebrity Rally Car Race hosted by the Ford Flex.

Hello everyone and happy Friday! This week's game is Chicken Hunter: Fowllywood.

Lights, Camera, Action! Those pesky chickens are at it again and this is your backstage pass to the fun! Whether it’s the set of a science fiction or horror film, to advance through this adventure you must shoot down the chickens and solve the hidden puzzles. But pay close attention because while there’s no time limit, you’re given a limited number of shots and chickens must be shot according to their role. So grab your popcorn and take on this casual game – no ticket needed.

I've heard great things from our Games Group and the Chicken Hunter games DON'T disappoint. The game retails for $14.95, but if you check the message boards you might score a free copy of the game. Have a great weekend and enjoy the game!

Hello and Happy Falcon Friday! Today's game is Chicken Hunter: Birds of a Feather.

Those darn chickens are at it again! With enhanced graphics, Chicken Hunter: Birds of a Feather features tons of new puzzles and endless opportunities to rack up points! Like the previous Chicken Hunter games, your goal is to shoot the chickens on the screen during your allotted time. But don’t forget: these chickens never go down without a fight, so things aren’t always as they seem. Watch your fire!

I'm so excited for this game! I love all of the Chicken Hunter games and $14.95 is a steal! Enjoy the game and enjoy the holiday weekend (if you're in the U.S.).

JoWooD Joins Novint's Publisher Lineup

You read correctly! Novint has just signed our FIFTH AAA publisher in four months! We've been keeping Tom, Novint's CEO, very busy! We're really excited to partner with JoWooD and enable some of their most popular titles for the Falcon. Among those titles are their action titles Painkiller and Gothic 3, both of which have sold well over 1 million units. We'll also have Painkiller Overdose, Panzer Elite Action, Panzer Elite Action - Dunes of War, Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None, Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express, Agatha Christie: Evil Under the Sun, Hardy Boys: The Hidden Theft, Spellforce 2, and The Guild 2 Gold.

JoWooD is an excellent partner with games for various interests. Personally, I can't want to play Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express! I loved the book and can't wait to feel like I'm actually in the story! What do you think? What game are you most excited to play with the Falcon?

This is a really fun casual title that I think you guys are going to love! And the best part is that it's FREE! What's not to love?! Check it out and have a great weekend!

The game will cost you $14.95, but if you swing by the Message Board you just might pickup a copy for free. Enjoy!

Hi everyone! We're nearing the end of another week and that means we're launching another game. This week's game is Mo The Mole.

It's Mo the Mole versus the falling rocks! Help Mo destroy loose stones before they fall on his head by using your Novint Falcon to toss different-colored gems into the correct slots in the ceiling. You will actually be able to feel the weight of objects, as well as use a real-life tossing motion to cast items into the air. In this puzzle matching challenge, you will need both your wits and your speed in order to save Mo from a dangerous cave-in, so grab your Novint Falcon and dig in!

This game is a bit different from some of our other FPS titles, but it's perfect for any age. It's a steal for $14.95. Just make sure you give Grandma a turn!

Novint Takes Over PDX Lan

Hi everyone! Well, Novint recently stopped by Portland for the PDXLAN Event. So what is PDXLAN? According to Aaron from Novint, "other than just a 500 people LAN party, it is also a place for PC gamers to gather and show off their 'pimped out' systems."

Everywhere you looked, there were 28+ inch monitors, water-cooled processors, and massive custom towers. We gave countless demonstrations of BF2, Haptics-Life, and Quake 4 and had a great time talking to everyone. I know for a fact that Aaron's dying to get back there!
