Game Preview: Feelin' It: Arctic Stud Poker Run

Hello everyone! Novint's Game Team has been hard at work to continue adding new titles to our Online Game Store. Today's preview is one of my favorite games, Feelin' It: Arctic Stud Poker Run. I was able to score a preview of this game (ah... the perks of working for the company) and it is so much fun!

I promise, you've never played cards like this before! A first-person racing, shooting, poker-playing extravaganza, Arctic Stud has been described by various reviewers as "a fantastic concept", "a refreshing change", and "a mixture of high speed racing and blazing guns."

In this game, the normal poker rules apply – the player with the best 5-card hand wins the pot. The only difference is that in Arctic Stud Poker Run you play on snowmobiles, you assemble your hand using cards scattered throughout the wilderness, and you can attack other players with guns, missiles, and more! With the Falcon you’ll feel every bump and twist as you play.

The game is available for $29.99 at Novint's Online Game Store. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Did We Mention Quake 4?!

We’ve got some very exciting game news! Our friends at HaptX have just announced that they will be releasing their free Mod for Quake4 Multiplayer!

Here’s the inside scoop… HaptX has been using their Quake4 Mods primarily for demos and testing their HaptX software. A lot of people have been asking them how to get their hands on it so they’ve decided to make it public. They’ve spent a lot of time working with the Quake4 SDK and tweaking the experience so that it's optimized for the Falcon based community - including maintaining the speed and accuracy associated with games of this genre. At the same time they also wanted to maximize the capabilities of the Novint Falcon, embedding the recoil of the individual weapons while feeling the directions of bullets and explosions.

The HaptX Mod will be free of charge, but you'll need a copy of Quake4 installed on your computer. All you have to do is setup the Quake4 HaptX mod and play! We’re encouraging everyone to schedule tournaments and gatherings and use the setup to enjoy the first dedicated multiplayer environment with the Novint Falcon. More information on the Quake4 Multiplayer HaptX Mod will be available on Novint’s Web site and the HaptX Web site.

Leave a comment below and let us know if you plan on trying out the Quake 4 mod!

Game Preview: Tear Down

Here's another game that is very popular with the Falcon Community (much to the surprise of our hardcore gamers) - Tear Down. In the game you use your Novint Falcon to control the paddle and smash your environment to smithereens. As you hit one or more balls toward your target, you'll actually feel the effects of impacts, explosive blocks, enemy portals, power-up generators, and even be able to use your sense of touch to aim toward your target with precision.

Featuring amazing levels built for jaw-dropping fun, Tear Down lets you destroy a fiery volcano, smash a Sopwith Camel into smithereens and even take on legendary sea creatures! From the Super Weapon that shakes the screen as it obliterates bricks to the B-52 Bomber that soars above the level dropping explosive ordnance, the new bonuses are as dazzling to watch as they are to feel. With over 200 levels to smash, Tear Down will keep you up all night and makes a great break from all of the Half Life 2 Falcon time!

Priced at a cool $19.95 this game won't break your piggy bank. Drop by the Game Store and check it out.

Game Preview: Feelin' It: Gish

Hello everyone! Many people ask us about the additional games for the Falcon. One of the most popular games in our library is Feelin' It: Gish. The game was the winner of the IGF Grand Prize (Seamus McNally Award), the IGF Innovation in Game Design Award, and Game of the Year Award from Game Tunnel.

In Gish, you play as a living, 12-pound ball of tar on an epic search for his lost love, Brea. With the Falcon, you'll feel every move of your gelatinous body as you roll, squeeze, climb, jump, and squirm your way through the maze of shadowy sewers. Will you be able to defeat freakish creatures, navigate twisting subterranean levels, and reunite with your love once again? Game features include 34 Story levels, over 20 Collection levels, 6 unique Versus modes, 28 different Versus levels, over 10 different enemy types, dynamic physics and real-time lighting, a destructible environment, and many other hidden secrets you'll find during your journey. Falcon Whereabouts

Hello Falcon Friends! has just added the Falcon to their online store. You can also see the Falcon at and on the Fry's, J&R Music, and TigerDirect Web sites.

For everyone out there that owns a Falcon, consider taking a moment to share your experience with people by posting a review at one of these sites. As you know, until you've tried the Falcon first hand it is hard to imagine the impact of the technology, so real customer opinions mean a lot. Thanks for helping us spread the word!
